Once you hit the quiet rural roads in Ireland – its expected that you'll wave to everyone you meet – and generally acknowledge that you've both slowed down to allow each pass. Not doing so would be considered rude.

Not so much on the main roads.

British reserve at its finest. ?

We are all driving round thinking I'll wave if they wave first.
So nobody does.

Better to look straight ahead and pretend you haven't even noticed the other Taycan.

Its a fine line here between being considered 'too friendly' and being labelled the 'village nutter'.

Keep calm and carry on.

LOL, not just British. I noticed on my drive that a woman's brake lights were out completely. I tried to get her attention, rolled down passenger window next to her car twice, tried pointing at the back of her car, she just kept on looking straight ahead pretending not to see me (I saw her glancing quickly at me for a moment so I know she knows I was trying to get her attention). California plates in Washington state, so visitor or moved down here. I gave up after the second attempt, hopefully a cop will pull her over and let her know in writing - that is one of their jobs after all (though in Washington state they cannot even chase ANY cars which don't stop unless they can prove there is imminent danger to human life, or the escapee is a least a serial killer).

This picture makes me want to book a trip to "rural Ireland" and rent a Taycan Turbo/Turbo S for a road trip, except of course for not driving on the right side of the road, which I think would freak me out a little (never drove like that and worried I would instinctively go in the right side). ;)

In my prior Porsches I would get a lot of waves back in the caymans and 911’s. Don’t think I ever got one from a panamera, cayman, or Macan. Picking up my Taycan this week so I will see how Taycan owners react. Granted don’t see a whole lot of them.

This is the route to drive! Even as a local – I still find it spectacular. Beaten only – just maybe – by South Western Norway in winter.
