Cup holders

Not sure about you , but I have never been keen on the two cup holders in the Taycan, I wished I had specd the smokers package to break it up. However I received some Spacex coasters for Christmas ( I know the irony being part of the same company Tesla owned by Elon Musk) and I think they look great placed in the cup holders. They fit perfectly. What do you think? Has anyone tried something similar?

I just leave mine open for temp storage of my cell phone, reading glasses, passenger's small items, etc.

Perhaps buy two of these ashtrays from the Porsche Tequipment store for an OEM look?

Audi RS4 2019 fits fine and adds a bit of OOOO class too!

Where did you get the phone holder? How do you connect it to power? Very slick. The Taycan charging location is stupid.

Very easy to install and takes about 10 minutes to fit.

I got mine in the UK but they are originally from the USA.

Front cup holder: nine volts MagSafe iPhone holder
back cup holder: €75 smokers package covered cup
problem resolved.
I agree, the cup holders are not a pretty sight.

I don’t get it. Where do you guys put all of your tissues and hair ties if you’re covering up the cup holders?

Had two of the Porsche ashtray cupholder inserts so modded one back in early 2022 with a MagSafe charger and usb cable entirely hidden back to USB-C in armrest. Works like a charm and both ashtrays still usable as storage (other keys etc) and all easily fully removed if needed. Have a thread here somewhere!
