ShipFix has had really up to date info on the SFL Conductor.

At 430am EST, shipfix showed SFL Conductor due east of Palm Beach, FL, and position time was 29 minutes ago. Much better than marine traffic, which was 23 hours ago.

It is funny, TYD cannot keep track of dates or where my car is, but it can keep track of how the Cape Town Highway is on its way to the next destination. My car was dropped off at Baltimore.

I am using a free trial at MT which uses sat tracking - 100% accurate and real time - you are comparing a location on MT that was the last free terrestrial AIS loc. provided on MT - quite different and not relevant as such

SFL Conductor - 8:50AM Hou time

In traffic so at 16 knots - progressing towards Key West

NOAA nautical charts have about 820 miles from Key West to the Houston Port. Need to be hitting 17 knots in the Gulf to keep on schedule - weather conditions look favorable!

Note I am filtering for only cargo ships in this view (also other dimmed ship icons reflect old AIS positions for those boats i.e. my free access to Sat on MT is only for the Conductor so it's pos. current but of course not a real time traffic density 'picture' around it as many of these boats are visible only with sat tracking when outside terrestrial range). Other 'solid' ship icons are actual real time sat positions i.e. do represent current traffic, but w/o a full subscription their details are hidden.

View by comparison with all ship classes displayed including those with sat positions and those with only last known terrestrial. AIS position. Conductor again being continuously tracked by Sat here. Screenshot taken at 10:12 AM Hou time.

My car also dropped off in Baltimore. No such additional TYD tracking of SFL Conductor.

Dealer estimates car will arrive there by Dec. 10. But no confirmation that it is on truck yet.

When considering 'like' cars in respect no open campaigns etc., I am wondering if there is an order priority as to who gets loaded to trucks first or is it entirely random.

My guess is it depends on what cars are through processing, where they need to be delivered to, and what truckers are available and willing to deliver. Porsches - all brands -, maybe other VW brands. If a car is through port processing at Houston, needs to get to dealer in OK, depends on how many other cars are there that would fill a truck driving that route.

Fair point - given the stress on the trucking industry right now seems reasonable.

Position as of 2:50 PM Houston time - about to finally enter the Gulf of Mexico where hopefully she can pick up some speed!

Not sure if it's a TYD glitch, but my car scheduled to go to an Ohio dealer shows it's still on the Capetown highway to Jacksonville instead of being unloaded in Baltimore.
