My Taycan Turbo MY21 commenced build in June finished in November and still sat at Port waiting on parts. It’s seven months over due and counting since my promised delivery date. Has anyone any similar experiences or been waiting longer? Equally has anyone taken delivery of a 22MY turbo?
Yes ordered my 22MY CT Turbo the middle of August and picked it up at the end of November. I think I was very fortunate. Absolutely love the car. It makes me (and my family!) smile every time I get in.

Well... infuriating email from the dealer this am. When I first visited them early Dec, I said I was considering Model X but lead times were just silly (Q1 23' if not later). He confidently told me "well I can get you a CT 4S in Q2".
In the spec'ing session 17th Dec, he showed me a slide from HQ with lead times for all models, and CT 4S was Q2-Q3 22' (Q4-Q1 23 for TT/TTS).
I finalised my order this week and he's just come back saying it's now Q4-Q1 23' for a CT 4S.

To me, this is misleading sale info. How come it's moved from 6mo to 12mo in just 3-4 weeks?

I'm going to ring a few other dealers along the M4 corridor to check if they have better but I don't think I'll keep the order in if takes them a year to deliver.

Does anyone know if Reading HQ or Bristol are generally quicker (currently with Swindon)?
I understand Bristol is in same network group as Swindon (Dick Lovett) so I doubt any different, but Reading is direct for Porsche GB from memory, so maybe worth a try.

I feel your pain. My MY21 RWD finally exited the factory on 26th November after being given an initial build completion date of 15th July and made it to Emden on 17th December when the dealer contacted me to say "we expect it to be delivered to the centre next week". I contacted him on Monday to ask where the hell it is and it is still sitting at Emden. I asked if there are any open campaigns on my car and there are three but these "will be updated when completing the pre-delivery inspection" and "I don't think this is delaying the car leaving Emden". I'm wondering if I'll manage to receive my car before a year passes between order date (14th April) and delivery date.

It's very frustrating because the dealer is Mid-Sussex and I've seen someone on this very forum who ordered through them and their Taycan finished production on 6th December and was delivered to the centre on 14th December so why has my Taycan got no further than Emden six weeks after leaving the factory?

I think they have been a bit optimistic from what I have heard over last months; In Oct I a friend it was quoted around 9 months (4/4s model depending) and during fuel availability problem time (was that Sept / Oct?) interest and orders escalated massively - so in Dec he was quoted around 12 months plus.
Reading is where Porsche HO is. And they get all the orders from around the world passed down to them so they dont have to try hard to sell at all. I am not a fan of Reading so I avoid them, despite them being nearest to me. You could try the other groups with franchises, Sytner (Silverstone, Mid Sussex etc) but I doubt they will have anything sooner than what you have been quoted now. At least they were honest with me when I ordered in July and said possibly Dec but may be later with manufacturing delays on the horizon. Mines slipped 2/3 months in total. Mid Feb build date presently. They are all at the behest of allocations...

Thank you gents much appreciated - I’ll give a go at cold calling Reading but not very hopeful. It just seems bonkers to me that a lead time could fluctuate that much.

I’m talking to my SA tomorrow, I’ve tried to put a bit of pressure on him CCing his manager and saying that was a deal breaker for me.
He said that they receive weekly updates from Porsche GB on lead times but that due to chips, brexit and demand it was very fluid.

My 2cts for working at a global electronics manufacturer experiencing the same issues, when production is very limited and by far outstripping demand, you just push volume to your most profitable markets.
Not a secret that the UK is a competitive, relatively low priced country for car manufacturers, and that China or the US are usually on top of the list for allocation.

Just reading here that our American pals can almost walk into a dealership and get a build slot for Feb/March instantly makes you feel pretty insignificant with a Q1 23’ estimate!

My only hope is to move up the list faster due to customers cancelling (SA did say that as a lot of people are on a finance schedule, they don’t have much flex as to when they’ll need the new one).

Problem is you have little leverage - should you decide not to complete the purchase, they’ll gladly advertise it for £20k more than RRP…
You can always ask for a loaner while you wait as you’re - supposedly - so close to delivery?

As above delivery build was 4S with £30k of extras just got carried away so 4S now £120k with hindsight should have ordered Turbo

Ordered Crayon RWD Saloon through company scheme in late May 21. Was originally told 3rd week Dec 21, then in Oct 21 that went to 3rd week Feb. I was told on Monday of this week its now 3rd week of May! So 12 months for me. No reason or explanation. As others have said if it wasn't for the BIK and being so far in I'd bin it.

Hi, do you know which Porsche dealer you company is ordering through?

I placed my order in July 21 through salary sacrifice, my company is going through Porsche Cambridge. I was given an early Feb delivery date, which moved to early April and informed this week it is going to June.

I don't but I've escalated it this week to get more details of where its coming into and what's the delays. I'll find out next week when my fleet manager is back.

Took delivery of a MY22 CT Turbo S just before xmas.

Originally ordered in June as a MY21. Had to sign new order forms as it would be a MY22. Built in November. Delivered in Dec. Everything as it should be. 2 keys, electric steering adjust. Nothing missing.

By any chance did you spec the Burmester? OPC said they had a customer who ordered the same car earlier than me in Mamba green but optioned the Burmester audio. Their car was still sitting in Germany waiting for parts for the Burmester as I was collecting mine.
No Burmester but did go for the HUD which other manufacturers are struggling with allegedly.

Registering a 21MY in 2022 can not be good for future values as you will not see the car before 1st March now same as me I imagine. Porsche will open the configurator in June too for the 23MY’s to make matters worse. Has you dealer offered anything in compensation?
