I guess yours was in production before the March 3rd cut off then. Looks like November 2021 orders onwards is going to see anyone else suffer delays.

That's a nice quick turnaround for you then. Enjoy the new ride.
Picked up car yesterday after PPF, Track Pack, which was done by Reep of Leicester, great service and great result. Can highly recommend, have attached some of the photos they took. Ceramic coating was done by local porsche dealer. All excellent, just big issue with collection from dealer, which is a long story, just to say the satisfaction survey just scrapped above 1. Still have no App connection with car, cant get out of privacy and despite calls to Porsche dealer no call back. Guess I expected a bit more on a £100k car. Just to say as Reep are at Leicester it wasnt that dealer.

Car looks lovely - the wheels look great especially with the red callipers!
Sadly your experience with the service doesn’t surprise me in the slightest. I’m on my 4th purchase from a Porsche dealership and the typical attitude (in particular this one) is ‘consider yourself lucky we’re letting you buy one of our lovely cars’?

Place it now - sooner the better.
What’ll you get next time, another 4S??

Yes 4 S don't regret £25k of extras on first one but maybe consider HUD next time just really really makes me feel like a great day when I drive it

Got the call today. Car arriving next week ( WC April 17) Ordered it start of July 21, so give or take 10 months. I really hope it doesn't give me a bad back same as my old 911 or there will be trouble...lol

Interesting. I've ordered my GTS ST from Porsche Leicester.

I've heard of reep, but it's also Porsche preferred supplier for the region. Good to see such great results, and lovely car.

Out of interest, how much did the works cost?

And did you go via Porsche or direct?

Yeah I guess so, just amazes me they can have people waiting for months on end and not adjust factory capacity to give all Taycan's "similar" build times. For example if there is a 10 month, backlog of the 4S, but The 4S ST has only 1 month wait, increase the 4S production to clear backlog. They are almost exact same price, so not like they need to put a £150k Turbo S on hold to build them.

Easy to have this idea when it's my model that's got the delay I guess, others wouldn't want theirs delayed just because someone has chosen a model with a bigger backlog

Anyway, back to staring at the desktop background dreaming of the day it arrives...
It seems cars are allocated to dealers, not customers, so when you order is very, very much less important that where you order and maybe even if you are a favoured customer of that dealer???

Dealer allocation and method of purchase definitely seems to impact on waiting times. I've leased through company scheme which appears to be the worst scenario for protracted waiting time. The dealer allocated is Nottingham Porsche. Ordered end of last May and have had numerous date push backs. Now saying end of August due to wiring loom delays. Its not my first Porsche but is my first new build Porsche. Don't think I'll be ordering one again. I'll stick with used after this.

I have weird tastes so I have never seen a used one I fancy!
I have looked at Porsches before but always preferred and bought an alternative in the end, up to now.
I tend to buy a project so it ends up being my spec anyways. I rarely leave things standard. Always like to tinker and fettle a bit. Although for obvious reasons this Taycan will be left as it. Lease companies hate a mod lol

I am still waiting for a build slot for my CT 4S ordered in mid July last year at Dick Lovett's Swindon.

I wish I had known how Porsche GP works, allocating to dealers rather than customers.
It really is disappointing service and wouldn't be made any better by changing dealer now - probably even longer wait.

Maybe I am destined to die before I become a Porsche owner.
You'll get your car.

I suspect not much longer now based on typical wait times.

Next week - Nice. Be sure to post pics incl collection.
I also suffer from bad back so had to spec 18 ways.
I've just received news that I'm moving from production phase 2 to phase 3.
Can anyone tell me how long it took from this update to delivery??

Yes dealer did mention each dealership gets an allocation monthly and then they allocate in order to customers; naturally I am sure they favour certain existing customers or people with more add ons, but didn't think about calling each dealership to ask how many were on their waitlist as didn't realise this when ordering.

Spoke to the salesman today who has said it is due out of factory on 29th april with Expected Delivery Date of 3rd June. Let's hope this is final :)
