This is probably a stupid question but on direct charge how do I set maximum charge to 80%. Can see set up on timer but can't see how to set if not using the timer
If it's on the App have an issue as I can not get that to connect. Have asked porsche to call me back on that but at the moment I'm whistling in the wind for that. Long story with no App connection as had a shambolic handover. The sales person I was dealing with left 2 days before I took delivery. They had used my profile to setup App and it now wont let me to connect. Think they still have main user!!

It is. ? just kidding.

Can’t do it. Direct charge ignores all other settings and charges immediately with a target of 100 %.

If you want to charge to 80% immediately, use a profile with min charge set to 80% and set type to “optimized”. No timer and no preferred times.

You can't - direct charge bypasses all timers and profiles..hence the name!

Just to make sure you understand: direct charging is not DC charging. This is a setting for AC charging only. DC charging cannot be limited in any way - the car will charge to 100% when left plugged-in, regardless of profiles or other settings.

in AC charging mode, your profiles will kick-in. I use the general profile with 80%min charge. That means "charge immediately when plugged in to 80%". when the car hits 80% it stops charging and waits. if at any point I enable "Direct Charging", the car would not stop at 80% but will continue to 100%. Or if it was already waiting at 80%, it will resume charging to 100%

Normally, this setting is used in conjunction with timers, for utilities where you have variable electricity rates. In such places, you'd enable a timer to say finish charging at 8am with a target of 80%. That means that if you say plug the car in at 3pm, it would not charge at all until 1am the next day. In some cases, you may want to bypass any such settings and immediately start charging. You'd use the "Direct charging" to do that from the car or the app.
