New member here, I've been researching Taycans for a few months and definitely want to pull the trigger on a CT4. The CPO cars that I've been looking at don't seem to be amazing deals, so I'm probably in the $80K range at this point (I'm not big into options, so these are cars with approximately $115K stickers).

There are some pretty basic 2025 CT4s that have a sticker of $123K. Does anyone know what kind of discount, if any, I could expect from buying a 2025 off the lot in the US? Could be worth bumping up my budget a bit and getting a J1.2 This would be a purchase, not a lease. TIA.

There are less CTs than sedans but on sedans there are definitely discounts.
6% is common, up to 11% on sitting inventory. On higher priced inventory there are even more discounts.

The benefit of the lease is the instant $7500 off for the federal tax credit. It's smart to take advantage of this before the new administration ends this.
I would lease then buy out the car a few months later because the interest rate is 8.5% on the lease.

With inventory you will be limited on colors. Most are black and white.
Are you picky about colors and options?

@Mr.Smith Paul, thanks for the good info. I've never leased a car, so I didn't even consider it. But I looked up the tax credit, and that's too good to pass up. If I take your advice to lease then buyout ASAP, what's the best strategy when approaching a dealer? Work out the best sale price first, then mention a lease? Knowing that I'll quickly buy out, should I ask for a short lease or long? Large or small initial payment?

In terms of color, black is actually my first choice, so that's easy. The only option I really want is 2+1 seating, but most halve premium package which is fine.

Thanks, Max

negotiating the basis price of the car sets the point that the values can be computed for the lease. there are ways for the dealer to manipulate the lease costs. check the money factor and residual values assigned to the deal. there are many sites that can help you figure out how to get a good value on the deal.
