Dual SIM and PCM

Can you use a dual SIM mobile/cell phone with the PCM?

I'm due to get my Taycan next month. This week I have a MY21 Panamera on loan from my dealership.

I have connected my Samsung Galaxy to the PCM via Bluetooth. The PCM shows SIM1 (O2 network)but I cannot see any way of using SIM2 (EE network). I cannot see anything in the settings.

SIM1 works fine making/receiving phone calls etc.

SIM2 cannot be seen. I tried calling from the phone using SIM2 and hoping PCM would pick up the fact the phone was calling someone. It didn't and likewise when I received a call to SIM2. However, I then noticed the missed call displayed in the call list (but could only return the call using SIM1).

Does the PCM support the use of dual SIM? Any help appreciated.

The PCM SIM is for data services on a separate contract (from Porsche) if you want to use the PCM as a WiFi hotspot and share it's connection to non-LTE enabled devices. I don't think you can have a second phone number and your phone is the only route possible.

Thanks. I can see that you can connect two separate devices, but as you say, it doesn't seem possible that you can connect one device with dual SIM. Plan B.

I have a dual SIM mobile that connects to PCM, however it isn't the SIM that connects to the PCM - it's the phone, via Bluetooth. I'm not sure how it works on not IOS devices, but on my iPhone I can select which SIM is primary/secondary and used for calls and/or data. When connecting to the PCM it's just like connecting a wireless headset via Bluetooth, so think of it like that. Similarly if using CarPlay, it'll just act as an extension of your phone.

So if you want to use a particular SIM for your calls while connected to your PCM, either set that SIM to be your primary for calls, or configure your appropriate contacts to default to that SIM. You do all of this on your phone, independent of the Car. The car is just a relatively dumb extension of your phone when it's connected.
