Just released, new E-Shift and new for 2027 changes…

If just intersted in the tech changes, they start at about 1:10. If the E-shift only, starts about 3:40. He makes a very intersting point that if you lease it, Porsche has increased the residuals so that E-shift becomes a monthly no-cost extra (though I have not tried that both ways to confirm it).

That would mean Porsche’s claim is that the E-shift feature appreciates in value (unless the lease is at 0%APR, the residual must be raised by more than the e-shift price in order to keep the payment unchanged). Maybe it’s their indirect way to pump up used car prices by driving more used inventory to dealers due to lower lease buyout rates (higher residuals usually mean less people choose to buy at the end of the lease).
