So... I finally got my first issue albeit so far it was a one-time occurrence so maybe just a quirk, who knows. Posting here to know if I'm the only person in the world having experienced this or not.
Context:
Yesterday I did a 200km+ return trip from Seville to the Algarve. It was around 37C ambient temperature the whole time. Didn't make any stop as I had plenty of battery. I drove in normal mode which has auto lowering chassis at 100km/h+ which means I did the entire highway in that lowered mode (I was crusing at 120km/h).
I should also mention I hit a pothole while in the spanish leg which produced a series of cursing words on my part. On 21'' I could feel the tyre "bottom out". I watched the tyre pressures but they held ok. Didn't think I damaged anything. Also worth noting that prior to the trip, the car had been parked in "lift" mode in an underground garage for 2h as the access was very steep and I didn't want to scrape my front bumper.
Anyway, back on track, 100km after the pothole event, I exited the highway and did the deacceleration curve to proceed to the local road.
At that moment, right around when the car was supposed to lift the chassis back into normal (I was at 50-60km/h), I got on my right tube a yellow warning message:
Chassis Level Extremely low!
The message vanished after 5 seconds.
My first thought was about previous posts on the forum showing pics with the same error message and cars sunken down.
My next thoughts were about the pothole damaging the suspension or the heat disabling the air compressor.
I immediately pulled over and checked the car all around. Nothing sunken, correct height for normal mode (maybe even slightly higher than what I'm used to).
Just to be sure, I lowered the car to min (sport plus) and then up to the highest (lift) which the car did perfectly.
The message hasn't returned since and I intentionally left the car parked in sport plus mode and then back to normal when I took the car for a spin today and it's holding the correct height.
I'm puzzled. One time event? Why did it happen? What could it have been?
I usually don't post about "one time" events because it is what it is. My 14 year old Mercedes once rebooted the entire board computer in April 2017 while I was driving in town. Strange but a one time event.
However, since this is air suspension related and a 2 month old car, worried there's something going on.
Thank you
