OK. so I. all of sudden get the dreaded low power key fob warning. I had just changed the battery no more than 6 months ago. So I figure the key needs to be re-registered so I drive around the last few days with the lob in the distal cup holder. Error does not clear. So I replace the battery and, guess what, same error appears. I will place fob in cup holder again but I doubt it will work.

Any suggestions?

It takes a few days after new battery is installed for the car to spot you have a new battery.... it is always the same in my BMWs too.
Not sure why it was showing low battery after only 6 months unless something was draining key battery or faulty battery?

Any suggestions?
It always seems to take a few days for the warning to dissappear after the new battery is installed, it is the same in my BMWs too.
Is the key constantly communicating with the car... or maybe a poor battery last tim
