Failed Supercharger Magic Dock session

A supercharger in East Point, GA (near ATL airport) recently went Magic Dock. I tried it out for the novelty and after four failed attempts (charging indicator turned red on the car), I gave up and left.

Anyone have tips or tricks for successful Magic Dock experiences?

When this happened to me, the dock broke a tab on the charging flap which prevented the dock from fully seating.

Grab a flashlight, is there anything in the channel around the charging pins?

Having read about @DerekS adventures... I made extra careful sure that the cover was flipped down fully and that the adapter seated. It is a bit of a nearly interference fit, so you do need to be careful. As he stated, if it isn't fully seated and "clicks" into place, it won't work/start.

FWIW, I visited a MagicDock ~120 miles away from home in Pittsburgh PA and it worked flawlessly. That same trip, I visited both EVgo and EA chargers, with really poor experiences. The Tesla charger worked without ANY hiccups. Good luck!

I used to live in Pittsburgh, and have seen on a map where that location is. If you ever go back there, the roads in the hills just east of that charger are EPIC. Super windy and technical. Very fun.
