I'm writing here to hopefully spare others the pain that I went through. I picked up a BEAUTIFUL RWD Taycan March 2022 and unfortunately on my first night I experienced the previously well documented recurrent false alarms due to a faulty internal monitoring sensor. The alarms stopped completely with double clicking when locking and/or turning the internal monitoring off each time when I turned the car off (a screen pops up when you press/hold the ignition key to turn the car off and you can manually unclick internal monitoring). So I contacted my local dealer and requested an internal alarm sensor change which they did 2 weeks ago and the false internal alarm issue resolved.....but I quickly realized that my porsche app was subsequently frozen and my vehicle lost LTE. I brought the vehicle back to the dealership and after 3 HOURS of troubleshooting including a hard reset and calling porsche support (very unhelpful) I not only still had a frozen my porsche app and no LTE but i was also now unable to log in into my car/was stuck as a guest. Fast forward a week and several phone calls to the dealer as well as porsche support, I was contacted by the dealer stating that several cars were having similar issues and they figured out a software update/fix. I brought the car in 2 days ago and within a half hour all was well in the world (and my car) again. I'd be happy to place anyone in contact with my dealer to exchange information if they are having a similar issue that is unresolved. I LOVE my base taycan which is why it was so painful when it was not functioning properly. Now time for some PPF.....
