Not sure where you got that from. Definitely not the case
The manual. Page 69 and 70

The idea I got from reading "continuously" is that it's in fact continously on until you re-enable the fob. My bad if it isn't so.

I see what you mean. In reality the lights only briefly light up to confirm the action. They switch off shortly afterwards. Give it a try and see for yourself.

At any rate, turning of the key is a much easier solution than dealing with Farday pouches in my opinion. Also conserves keyfob battery life :)

Well, I'll try it once the factory ships out my car ?

In the meanwhile, right now, my bedside book is the manual. Seems the authors don't have the same understanding about "continuously" as myself. Thx for pointing it out.

I just put mine in a faraday box. Each of our cars has one, kept out of sight of the front door, obviously. Also means I don’t leave my keys scattered around the house.

I read less cars are being stolen from houses, due to people securing key etc. Now they follow you to your destination, let’s say shop car park, and scan you key there. Not so nice.

We out our keys into a faraday box even when we didn’t have comfort access. My GTS came with comfort access software enabled even though we haven’t turned it on.

We’ve tested it by placing a phone in there and then calling it. It didn’t ring so we know it works. I don’t use a pouch as my keys tend to come with me to work where I have another box

Faraday box that I got. They sell the pouch too

I use an old promotional Altoids tin can in a shape of a car. Works great, you can walk up to the car with the key in it, no detection.
