Understood guys, I have ample off road parking so getting a charger installed shouldn't be an issue.

My wife quite likes the VW ID Buzz and my employer does a salary sacrifice scheme with Octopus where they take the £ out of my gross salary pre tax. You do get ripped off but it works out favourably in terms of bringing down salary & insurance / maintenance is all included. Octopus also come out and install a home charger for free as part of the deal. The facelift ID Buzz should be available to order on the portal in the next few weeks so assume we would be able to use the home charger for both vehicles.
You will - they aren't actually 'chargers' remember as the charger is physically in the car. The wall box (or charger as you refer to it) is Electric Vehicle Structured Equipment (EVSE) whether AC or DC and simply supplies a safe current / flow of electricity to your car(s).

Make sure you get a dedicated 32A supply, 32A rated cables end to end and plugs from your fuse box to get a max of 7.4kW (single phase supply). If you are lucky to have 3 phase then plumb that in and you'll get up to 22 kW (11kW max on the Taycan if you have the standard onboard charger and 22kW if you have the upgrade).

Not sure if you want to look at sharing the EVSE and charge both cars at once - if so then remember your supply will be split / halved and therefore slower to charge.

There’s absolutely no reason to overpay Porsche glitz. They will wash their hands as soon as you are out of the door.
Instead you can go privately or with that other dealer. Just ask them to get 111-point check as a prerequisite for the deal. Porsche approved warranty is £3k for 3 years, which is exactly the same thing (albeit 2 years) a Porsche dealer will sell you with.

Thoughs on this car guys?

To update the thread, I put my Taycan dreams on hold to purchase a Volkswagen ID Buzz as the family wagon and we have all fallen in love with it! First EV I've had and it's been fantastic, so much so I'm back looking at (slightly cheaper than before) Taycans.

Thanks all.

It‘s a pretty good spec. We will all have a favourite option that’s on or off the list, but you need to figure out what’s most important to you.

Taycans can be a bit fragile and have had a number of failure points. Are you sure you can’t afford to get one from a Porsche dealer with a warranty? Personally I’d sacrifice a few options to get a warranty but others will prefer just to set money aside for repairs if ever needed.
