I'm umming and arring over getting this feature on my turbo.
Does it make any difference between different modes? I use individual most of the time which is mapped to "sport" , I'm assuming that (from what I've read) its not like other cars where in the mode switch settings you can define "sports steering" or whatnot?
will it be light to steer at slow speeds (turning junctions, pulling in/out of parking spots etc) at all times or does being in sports mode effectively turn it off? also, anyone know of any way of getting a discount on it? £300 seems steep for something which has been standard in every car i've bought so far (outside of porsches)
Is not already standard on the Turbo?

It is always a default option tick for me on all Porsches and been an option for decades.

Speed sensitive so lighter at manoeuvring speeds and stiffer at speed.

Should be standard and possibly is these days.

nah it doesn't seem to be. steering is pretty heavy all of the time, and more importantly, its showing in porsche connect store as an option for me to enable/buy. it only lists the stuff thats relevant to your car.

i totally agree though, my 2013 Cupra had it as standard and that cost a heck of a lot less than this. (and you had the ability to turn it on/off , which apparently you can't on ours)

Worth having but cheaper had it been factory optioned.

Standard on all new Taycans today.

This is a proper implementation so best not compare with other brands - turning on / off ain't relevant - some cars had 'City Mode' which meant you could turn the wheel by simply breathing on it (awful)

Is there not a try before you buy as there was with other FoD options? Or borrow a car from your dealers to try out.

no, no trial, no discount. it's Porsche we are talking about here ;). I was told originally by both OPC and Porsche customer support that you can buy and then get a refund if within a month. but when i checked the docs I can see there is just a 14 day "cool off" where you can write to them nicely and ask for a refund.

anyway I bought it lol. and it is a fair bit nicer to drive at slower speeds. just feels like a huge rip off of having to pay money just to have lighter steering. but hey ho
