Let's hope you get a working heater!

My GT ST arrived at the dealership on Monday of this week and then informed the day after that I would not be getting it until there were replacement parts (global issue / shambles) as the car was manufactured and shipped in the knowledge that the cabin heater wasn't working (there will be many cars in this position).

No indication of when it will be repaired and mindful that there is a growing queue of existing customers (800, UK alone) who already have this issue waiting on the same parts, I'm of a mind therefore, given the pending MY24 release to potentially walk away and re-order in August to secure an MY24 model for Nov'23.
Thats very poor.
My build starts next week with a scheduled 20/3 pick up.
My SA advised that the newer built cars were having the newer replacement part fitted. Would appear this is not the case.

Unfortunately most SAs are ill informed and live in La-La land - mine didn't know there was even an issue when I asked him the week before my car arrived. These folk are just interested in selling the metal and nothing else - they should spend time in the forums at a minimum.

Perhaps you will be fortunate but I suspect the cars broken in the field will get replacement parts first and so there could be a long wait once they start to flow.

I was told in October 2022 there would be no allocations for a Taycan GTS in the UK until 2024. In France every dealer I spoke to had at least 1 GTS allocation 1st quarter 2023. available. Very useful of course when you are negotiating on price. One in Paris had 2 GTS available. The UK is clearly not getting much priority nowadays and Brexit/RHD is surely one of the reasons. What incentive is there for a German car manufacturer? It's easier to make LHD cars for Europe mainland.
Why would you care about UK allocations if you're happily living in France. Buy your car in France and enjoy it. There is no need to spue this pointless nonsense. The UK is one of Porsche's biggest global markets, so by reducing the allocation in the UK only hurts their business - I am sure they are smarter than you think!

I used to live in the UK and have friends in the UK so I care about the way the UK customers are treated. Does this surprise you?
