Got my GTS Allocation. Does everyone get a free Porsche Experience?

I’m off to Silverstone next week for mine. I locked my spec back in June and my car was built in September. It’s now waiting on a 12v battery and the dealer says it’s likely to be with them in December. No extra charge for the experience day and my wife’s coming along and enjoying the lunch too at no extra cost.

I’ve ordered an ST Turbo but will be driving the saloon version because the experience people haven’t received their ST Turbo yet either.

Same difference - we pay for the driver experience day through the price of the car and other countries pay for it separately. The fact we pay for it indirectly is a little bit sneaky in my opinion as not everyone realises their entitlement nor do they make use of it. Comms from the Dealer and / or Porsche can be a hit or a miss on this topic.

Same for the PMCC. When we buy a Porsche we are paying for many things, development, the badge, marketing. But to get this free and the PMCC I see as a positive for the French market. We also get the 150kw charger included in the price of the car which I think the UK has to pay for.

Plus there are available allocations in France. Lead times are 4 to 6 months. I don't understand why the UK has to 18 months to wait. Porsche seem to look after some markets better than others.

I had my PEC, included in price of car, well after freezing my spec in April, so it was just a fun day out for me and my sone, who hadn't driven such a quick car before, and persuaded me not to cancel my long awaited order.
The main thing I wanted to know about anyway was whether the active anti roll bar (PDCC) was worthwhile but none of the cars had it and anyway the Taycan was in such demand having one customer comparing 2 of the test cars probably wouldn't have been feasible anyway.

Thanks guys. I think I will wait for the warmer weather. This means I will have my GTS by then but at least I can thrash one of their cars and not mine lol.

I've not spec'd PDCC but I have the rear steer. I'm not panning on tracking my Taycan anyway so assuming I don't need PDCC.

Yes I assume so and maybe Brexit. Importing to the UK now is a nightmare for european companies. Also much easier for the factory to make LHD cars which are exactly the same spec in all of europe.

I think it's more likely that - Porsche core markets are all LHD, they probably have a limited window each year where they switch to RHD hence the delays for the UK (and likely other RHD markets).

Ordered mine on 10th October and forecast delivery date is now 24th Feb 2023. Lots could go wrong between now and then but so far so good.

Normally yes you can. I've also sent my kids in my place and they played with a 911 Turbo S for a day rather than the Macan Turbo I actually owned at the time.

In general they will try to accommodate.

I haven’t given that a second thought. I assumed that you drive the car you’ve ordered but I didn’t ask if there was an alternative.

Don't get me wrong, I am sure the Taycan will be a blast to drive around the circuit too but... I just sold my 718, and a lightweight, nimble, powerful car is really hard to beat for the fun factor.

I know it’s getting off topic but yesterday mine just rolled into stage 4, including a few production pict. Looks like Christmas is going to be early this year ?.
