Really don’t understand this comment, it’s a great benefit for me as the driver and everyone else in the car.
Nope. Not for front passengers. You sit in front of it. It might as well not be there.

This is the only passenger I've ever had who couldn't see the pano roof- so I made him take the blanket off his head, after which he said "Oooh, sunneeee!".

200% disagree with this comment. Each to their own but I wouldn’t be without it. It’s a very dark place otherwise in the cabin.

i Also wouldn’t have HUD as the digital cockpit is so good - this from someone who has had HUD in all previous cars.

I guess my front seat passengers don't sit with their neck at an 90* angle so they can enjoy a cloud. ?‍♂

Guess I prefer keeping my eyes on the road. Love the HUD. Don't even need the instrumentation cluster.

Hi Steve,

Nice spec and great to hear yours is getting nearer to home.

I specc’d my car for me but found the advice of others on here to be helpful and sometimes, a wee bit biased towards their own options unsurprisingly. Ultimately, I went for what I wanted.

I have the panoramic roof which I like and, if it’s of more ‘benefit’ to the rear seat passengers, why not?

I opted the 4 way climate for the same reason and I liked the idea of having a similar dash look running through the car.

I didn’t opt the HUD as the cluster is typically Porsche and easy to glance at when required. I find that I can only get my eyes to focus on one thing at a time so it’s the road or the dash (or HUD) no matter how briefly. That said, if you like/want it, get it mate.

The small details. The one thing that has really stood out as a good option on mine is the RaceTex B Pillars. As I have the CT4S, I optioned the roof in the material and the finish is really nice with the B Pillars giving it that ‘complete’ look. I see you’ve optioned the pillars too. ?

As for exterior colour - your call for sure. I had the Mamba itch but held firm with my original choice and haven’t been disappointed. To be fair, there’s not a single colour choice that makes the Taycan look bad imho.

You’ll see a lot of ‘I like’ and ‘I want’ above, and that’s my final comment. Get the car for you and go with your head, heart and arse if required. ? Just make sure you get the car you know you want.

Look forward to seeing the car and the eventual choices you made. :like:

Porsche seem quite keen, got to stage 3 in the app today :) going to have to tidy up the Tesla soon, it's now worth considerably less due to the recent price cuts. I can tell I've fallen out of love with the Model 3, haven't washed it since beginning of December!

Too many people that don't have the variable light roof piss in it. I have it, I love it and it works great. Don't let anecdotes dissuade from this awesome option...
Yeh, but the geographer in me notes that it's probably a bit sunnier in Colorado, than it is in 'the smoke'!

Sports chrono waste of money. Looks crap.
Rear steering
Dimming and folding mirrors
4+1 seats
All red in and out as a homage to Satan
Minimum 21" wheels. The rest are crap
Air suspension waste of money unless standard.
RWD is the best Taycan
Big battery ?
150w on board charger for non U.S. and Tesla supercharger
Bose
Grey tint windscreen
Matrix lights
Blackened rear windows
Ceramic brakes
Panoramic roof waste of money as the people in the front get no benefit
HUD display. Must have
Carmine red. The only colour. Everyone else specs Bailey's Cream
360* view surrounded park assist
Automatic parking. It works great.
Porsche Tracker and an elite steering wheel lock
Lots of this stuff is standard on the GTS.
Panoramic roof (not variable version) adds light to interior, particularly rear seat passengers - very popular.
HUD is anything but a ‘must have’ for the majority of people, although it might be for you!
Ceramic brakes totally unnecessary.

Sweet congrats! My lock date is tomorrow so I can totally get the nervous feeling!
Like your build!
I did the 14-way with massagers only because someone mentioned to me that the adaptive is nice, but you'll "feel" them maybe once every few days but if I had them, I would definitely use the massaging seats daily!
Acoustic glass I opted out of based on feedback from this group.
Lol only other difference between ours is I didn't get rear climate control because my kids will kick it and break it!

I'm keeping the 4 zone climate because one daughter is warm blooded and the other is like my wife (not that she's a reptile you understand) and suffers cold hands and feet so independent zone control might help.

Having read through a lot of posts on the subject I'm ditching the acoustic glass, doesn't seem to be a massive benefit and I have tinnitus so silence isn't always a good place to be!

I've sent my code now and can relax a bit, I hope the SA doesn't make any suggestions :)

If I had to do it over again i would add the heads up display. In the end it’s all toys and luxury, but after driving a friends Audi that had HUD I loved it and wished i had that toy/feature too.

I’m not a big fan of the change that makes to the dashboard cover.
