Strangely enough the exact opposite happened in my case. Ordered April 2021 and decided to wait to see the at that stage un confirmed GTS model, That came around November 2021 and I wasn’t convinced on it. January 2022 came and they announced the ST in all trims so finally chose a 4S ST that’s due to arrive end of this month.

Initially when spending hour after hour on the configurator the amount of permutations I went through was unreal with crazy amounts of options added. In the end I went for a very modest spec which is approx 5% of the base price.

My reasonings were that if I don’t have something I’ll not miss it, plus I’m buying the car outright so wanted to keep potential future losses down for when in hopefully a couple (maybe 3) years I exchange it for the EV Cayman

that makes Good sense , and tbf I will probably de spec before locking in

I get a few comments on the Facebook page that I should be having the GTS interior, but as nice as it is it's just not for me! As this is my first Porsche, I don't fee I need to stick to what I should have, and just spec what I want

like you going to be keeping for 3 or 4 years as buying outright too ??

Interesting. I’m buying outright too and a lot of my options probably won’t add any residual value.
it’s my first Porsche, people keep telling me to go all-out and enjoy it. Would love a satin wrap but where do you stop

I did get a quote for a Matt ppf xpel too, was 4k for entire car, but I love the mamba so much I've changed my mind about stealthing it up
Your right though, it's easy to get carried away on that bloody configurator

Cheers James, yes, I have become all configurated out, although it has been a nice distraction of an evening to watching Love island, if you are not in the UK that may go over your head lol

I have booked in the front and side PPF and will add some Gtech protective coating to the rest, now all I have to do is wait .....
