Thanks for the input! Several of your suggestion are quite interesting and I totally agree with your conclusions. Restraining order have been tried though, but refused by the Police. So I do belive you're right it might be an idea to change tactic from here on. Think I´ll follow you up of pushing for a resolution to “ongoing vandalism in our community“ :like:

In all dark times, there are always light in the far end. Also in this situation. Through some ornithologists-contacts, several birds have recently confirmed that the vandalizer will move away from here in a few months. My family and I look very much forward to popping the champagne cork. Then we will remain just where we are, safe and sound.

Good times will come to those who wait . . .

I'd consider popping that champagne cork now - right through his front window.

Hey Arno. That’s great news, even if only told by a little birdie or two. I hope you get the most amazing neighbours very soon. You deserve it. Remaining so restrained makes you the bigger person. May your health continue to remain good. Everyone on here supports you.

So sad that this has happened to you, and you should be commended for such restrained and civil response to this vandalism. That person will get what is coming their way in this life or the next, it seems like they may have already had it pretty bad to stoop to this behavior to get their "kicks". I would probably not have been so restrained and would make their life a living hell if they messed with my Taycan that way. I am fortunate to keep my car garaged and in a very private neighborhood, but there is no excuse for this behavior and it really pissed me off to read your story!

This looks like someone in Sweden, taking the infamous “Jante Lagen” too seriously. It basically means that You can’t have anything nicer than what I have. Growing up there, I remember people with “nice” cars getting them vandalized just to “show you”, “You are not better than me”.
I would probably move if I could. If not, just get them back whatever way reasonable. There are spike strips, Surstromming (google it), and good old feathers and tar available. Good luck!

Thanks for all your support guys, I really do appreciate it :like: !!!

It all started around 2016, when I got back from long term hospital due to blood cancer. After a bone marrow transplant I'm rather reduced, so I was granted a special card to put in the windshield allowing me to park on areas for the disabled. Short after parking outside my home, I received an e-mail from a married couple with a complaint about how little they appreciated this among the other public parking spots. I was told it was unfair that I could park so close, while they couldn't, in addition to the sign that they stated looked ugly.

After this complaint damages started to happen to my vehicles. I changed several over the years, and the first out was our Volvo XC with a huge bump on the hood. Then my MB-AMG was keyed all over, followed by Tesla with same treatment. A popular thing seem to be throwing cigarets on the paint so it burns and make marks, and leaving snuff packs and chewing gum on the paint/windows. Damages with knives has been done a several occasions in, and even more times with screws in my tires so they puncture. Bumping into the vehicle when passing to make damages, and parking kick bikes close so it scratches is also a thing. Spitting all over the car is quite usual actually, and lastly egg throwing on my Porsche.

Below is a video of some of the incidents over the past 5 years . . . it´s too many to show them all:

I´ll give them some credits though, for being so active and quite inventive. Other than that, null points for positiveness. I believe it all comes down to envy, and probably having a miserable life. This people will hopefully be moving away soon, which in case I definitely look very much forward to. I recon it all will stop then, and things will again normalise. I have considered video surveillance, but the laws in our country prevents me to install something that cover public areas. It's very tempting, though, but as of yet I rather rely on all my other good neighbours which are supportive and watch my Porsche with all x-number eyes in 360 degrees protection. I believe that is also somewhat preventive, for those haters mentioned.

A "fun fact" to brake this up a bit: After my 5-year medical control at the hospital, my beloved wife and son gave me the greatest gift of all, as they knew I have been wishing for a Porsche since my youth. Therefore they surprised me with granting the Taycan Turbo S, as token for remaining back with them here on the planet. So this gift means a lot to me, not only as a vehicle but in a deeper meaning :involve:
Wishing you all the best. This shows the best and worst of humanity. I would be surprised that if the perpetrators knew your story if they didn’t the cease their crimes against your property. I hope you enjoy your Taycan!

Thank you very much for the kind words - warm support makes it easier on dark days !!! :sun:

I also rest on the belief that these kind of people doing such harm will get what they deserve sooner or later (even if I don't believe in karma). Just to set the record straight, I do not think I am more calm or balanced than others. I too can get quite angry and annoyed - but I definitely refrain from vandalizing other people's property or vehicles. I must honestly admit that sometimes it feels difficult to refrain from violence to put an end to this. So far, I have managed to control myself from beating this asshole. When this family is gone, my problems are too ?

Thank you very much, and the same to you all !!! :sun:

PS I´ve already caught the guy many times, and the neighbours witness to have seen it several times too. It does not help much when the police over here even with evidence will prioritize this type of behaviour, actions and vandalism. I just have to ride the storm and wait until it's over I guess. It is fortunately confirmed that they will be moving from there

Thanks! "Surstromming" is notorious, so I stay far away from that canned fish from grocery store in risk of getting contaminated :CWL: Then I rather prefer the idea using feathers and tar

I live in Norway quite close to Sweden, and getting there it’s just a short trip over the border. In Scandinavia, the "jante law" is living strong in our three Nordic countries, which include Denmark. So you are absolutely correct in your description, sadly enough.

For those readers whose not familiar with the “jante law” . . . it goes like this:

You should not believe you are anything.
You should not believe you are as much as us.
You should not think you are wiser than us.
You should not imagine that you are better than us.
You should not think you know more than us.
You should not believe you are more than us.
You should not think you are good at anything.
You should not laugh at us.
You should not believe anyone cares about you.
You should not believe you can teach us anything.

Thank you very much indeed !!! :sun:

I think that when people have a carefree and good life, they start constructing problems that are worthless and insignificant. They forget to appreciate the perfect life they actually have, which may be good enough and without distress. When you are really struggling and in pain, then the focus is only on keeping your head above water, and focus only on the basic needs. Some have to experience it to understand it, while most have empathy and intelligence.

My hematologist at the hospital asked me some time ago, when it seemed that I would survive blood cancer: "Do you feel irritation by things in life?" I replied: "Yes, possibly a little occasionally." The doctor declared: "Then you are well!" He is of course correct, and that’s exactly my point also

Sometimes I forget this myself, but then I remember my doctors frase, and can shake off minor problems . . . It’s usually not the end of the world!
