Hello All, Happy New Year!

Frost and snow in the UK today. When I started to heat up the car, the snow cleared quickly on much of the windscreen. However, there was a 'V' area that cleared much more slowly. Is this normal or could I have a heater failure?

I didn't get a chance to take a photo with the snow on the windscreen but you can see from the attached the area that is not clearing efficiently.

Appreciate your thoughts!

I believe when the HV heater fails it fails completely not partially. Given the screen vent locations your clearing pattern looks normal. Are you getting ANY warm air in the car?

Thank you. Yes, the screen did clear. I thought it was odd that it cleared so quickly for the two sides yet slowly for the middle. But if this is the normal spread of heat then that's fine. ?

Looks to me like the central vent is switched off

Thanks @W1NGE - I checked and it looks like you're right - the upside down octopus thingy was turned off. ? Fingers crossed things should work a lot more quickly now!

Coolio.

Suggest to not use ECO / ECO Plus mode either and go full bhuna on the AC. Preheating is your friend on these frosty mornings.
