I don't have a HUD (pointless gimmick IMHO) and Hey Porsche can control AC, music, NAV etc (or it did in my T4S).
I find it useful most times, but distracting on occasion, which is why I turn it off then. As far as navigation, the HUD shows way better directions than the IC or the PCM. I honestly don't get why the IC tube cannot show the same nav info as the HUD.

There have been HUDs in our Priuses since 2012 and I quite liked them but decided with the display and seating position in the Taycan it wasn’t worth paying extra for. Now I am used to not having one I realise I rarely look at the one in the Prius now either, maybe I’ll be used to it again by the time the Taycan is fit to drive again!

What's the prognosis for the green machine?

The first appointment I could get for checking the error codes was 1st August.
It can be driven but no brake regen and feels a bit odd, could be stuck in 1st gear.
The orange warning was “Transmission fault”

I added an Amazon Echo Auto to my Taycan and Tesla to change music, send text messages and make phone calls: "Alexa, what time is it?", "Alexa, resume Pandora", "Alexa, play John Prine on Amazon music", "Alexa, call home", "Alexa, text blahblahblah".

The Taycan has a big added benefit that Echo Auto and CarPlay work together so changing music can be done through Alexa.

While the connection in both the Taycan and Tesla is not 100% perfect (maybe once a week Alexa can't connect to the car), I find that most times restarting my iPhone gets things moving again.

It may just be me but native voice activation in my GTS ST is simply 'pants'!

My previous 4S worked to an extent but never 'on it' but now I have an irrelevant piece of tech in my shiny new motor.

I have never come across a piece of tech which is so poorly implemented and unreliable - it can't be this bad surely?

I have had no success with even the simplest of commands: 'Hey Porsche, what time is it?'

Hey Google / Hey Siri are almost flawless in operation but not much use for controlling car functions native to the PCM unfortunately.

So, what am I doing wrong (I have every option enabled, good online connectivity and so on) - I'm determined not to go to the dealership at this point?
Ignoring the quality of the speech recognition, which is quite good for me but will vary depending on your accent, I will add this:

Forget saying "Hey Porsche", just press the little button on the steering wheel to start a voice recognition session. It's much faster and more reliable.
