The ST has the same height and dampers as the sedan and will only give the benefit of the trunk. The CT is a bit higher and has a bit more comfortable oriented damping. So for comfort this might become the best choice. I decided to paint the wheel arches on the CT.
Perhaps but use case here is motorway wafting and I doubt no discernible difference across the variants.

In summary we are all guilty of overthinking this for what is a medium weekly commute - heck I'd happily do it in my Mini Cooper!

I currently have a well optioned S Class (W222). My driving is 90% highway as I commute the 110 miles between my family home and my work flat at the start and end of the week. The S Class makes the trip easy as can be, the time just disappears, and it works great. However the car is getting older now and has 70k miles so it is not far off time for something new.

I was looking at the new S Class but realised due to tax benefits I can get a gorgeous Taycan for about half the cost! I did notice the Taycan is not as luxurious, but the ride is smooth and with my eye on the 50% effective discount on electric cars, I placed my order.

However… I have been having a couple of doubts lately... will the Taycan crunch miles well? Will it be as nice a place to pass the time? I am not that fussed about sports car driving any more, been there done that - I prefer luxury, so am I making a big mistake?
I currently own a Taycan 4S and I think it’s the cat’s meow—great
Porsche handling and a superb car for road trips. Yesterday though I bought my wife a Mercedes EQS450+ and I’ve got to say this might be the car you’re looking for. Incredible range, 380-400 miles on a charge and a true S-Class driving experience. Mind you, it’s no Porsche Taycan: the EQS can’t hold a candle to the Taycan in terms of sporty driving dynamics and handling, but as a highway cruiser, the EQS is hard to beat. At a $106K and with features that Porsche annoyingly charges extra for, the Mercedes really hit it out of the park with this EV. Check it out.

We have a Taycan and an S Class. The Taycan is extremely quite and comfortable for front seat passengers but it is NOT an S Class.

If you want the best car for highway driving stick with the S Class. If you want the best electric sports car get a Taycan.

Lots of replies, lots of opinions, all valid:- 2 cars on my drive, RRVogueV8 & TCT4S ( Oct 21 ) plus a ragtop 6 series cruiser for our handful of sunny UK days..... the Taycan has comfort seats, air cooled, heated and massage BUT not a patch on the RRV for comfort. Taycan is low seated & awkward to get in / out if +6ft tall. Keep the order....the Porsche is an addictive weapon on ANY road / save some tax / vat / but have an alternative. ENJOY, it's a nice first world problem to have
