- Taycan Turbo (on order), BMW X5, Golf GTE
Taycan Turbo - 20,000 miles and only issue (so far!) was a failure of the heating system. Hard to understand how all of these same cars can have such different software issues but I am no expert.
Also a 2022 Range Rover L460 PHEV and no issues so far, save for some general recalls. My only comment is that the Land Rover service quality is a JOKE. Porsche is under pressure and trying their best to bounce-back from Covid etc with some long waits for service and loaners but at least gets it. They get that they are a high-end BUT VOLUME (as opposed to Aston, Bentley etc) producer whose customers should be valued. The Rangey is the best car I have ever owned - smooth, imperious, handles well, makes you feel like a king, but my word when it goes into a dealership it may as well be a £10k Dacia Sandero, although I suspect that Dacia would do a better job!!!
On depreciation - the problem is we had a year of sky-high prices and so the perceived drop from those highs is crazy. Add to that most of us have owned a 911 at some point where we bought and sold for a similar price, so we all feel let down that the Taycan value has dropped in line with other cars. Thankfully the Range Rovers have great residuals, so say what you want but they hold their value!
