Mine doubled to a ridiculous £2400 (with some small extras), at renewal in December. Checked today and it was back to £1500ish. Cancelled my policy, booked new one and saved about £500 for the year from tomorrow. Both Admiral Platinum. Sadly have paid 2 months but still, money saved.

Also with Admiral and renewed in December. £3000 back then. Just done a new quote and came back at £2100. Apart from being charged 2 months worth of premiums were there any other penalties?

No, they waived the admin fees because the new policy was with them too

Only 6k!! A friend of mine in Kensington quoted £13k! She had one nicked though!

Doesn’t everyone who has a JLR product in London get them nicked. It’s just a matter of when. ?

Mine tripled in November. I told Admiral (who I been with for years and before then other EUI fronts) to go do one.

Went with esure for a slightly less insulting 40% uplift.

Yeah mine doubled December, but they were the cheapest/joint cheapest so I let it roll over.

Maybe they are getting more normal, I had a few quotes a lot lower than I got in December

I think there must’ve been a raft of Taycan claims in my postcode / area. They’re not quite as common as Tesla’s here but not far of ? maybe the hoi poloi have now discovered Eletre’s or something.

Yep. Trouble is, if you sell them you make a huge loss switching into something similar. Or you insure them and get hosed that way. Mine doubled which I was overjoyed about, after sniffing around on comparison sites and getting no price to 4 or 5x. Landrover’s own insurance quotes about £7k, but if you listen to CEOs last press release, there isn’t a problem. I won’t be buying another of those I guess!

Touch wood. I don’t think (relatively) Taycans are that nickable.

They’ll nick your mirror glass in north London and sell it back to you on fleabay and probably cut-out your headlights for a hash farm in sarf London though.

Just renewed my 4S with Aviva, went from £820 last year to £1,100 this year so could have been worse. My wife has a 2017 RR Sport, was worried about this whole insurance malarky so generated an online quote, roughly £650 so not too bad. Must be the new fancier JLR that have the issue (if there is one)...

I have over 15 years of no claims, and Admiral offered me the most affordable quote at approx £1100.
