Hi,

I have a working iOS app on my daily driver phone. I also have an Android phone I use regularly. I am able to install the MyPorsche app and login but when I navigate to the car icon it states “something went wrong”

is it not possible to have a working version of this app on 2 phones at the same time?

the other sections of the app (e.g contracts) seem to work correctly.

Hi, have the app (its indeed crap) on my Android and iPhone. Works well on both (still the app is equally poor on both OS...) . Though while driving i use Android Auto - seems to be is better than Apple Carplay

I have found what causes the error. If there is no SIM card in the device it doesn’t work.

Huh?

You must have a network connection of some kind (obviously.
wifi only did not work. Apparently it must have an active 4G connection. Not sure if it’s only the first time.

Seems odd - a path to the internet should be all for both handset and car (car can only be on an LTE / cellular connection).

Here are a few possible explanations and troubleshooting steps you can try:

App Compatibility: Ensure that your Android phone meets the minimum requirements for running the MyPorsche app. Check if the app is compatible with your device's operating system version.

Internet Connectivity: Make sure you have a stable internet connection on your Android phone. Sometimes, network issues can cause errors in app functionality. Try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network or cellular data to see if the problem persists.

App Version: Check if you have the latest version of the MyPorsche app installed on your Android phone. Developers often release updates to fix bugs and improve app performance. Updating the app may resolve the issue you're experiencing.

Clear App Cache and Data: On your Android device, navigate to Settings > Apps > MyPorsche. Tap on the app, then select "Storage." Here, you can clear the cache and data associated with the app. Clearing the cache can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.

Reinstall the App: If the issue persists, try uninstalling the app from your Android phone and reinstalling it from the Google Play Store. This can help resolve any installation or configuration issues that may be causing the error.

The MyPorsche app likely supports multiple device logins, as the issue seems isolated to the car section on your Android phone. Double-check if you've granted all necessary permissions and ensure both app versions are up-to-date. If the problem persists, contact Porsche support for troubleshooting specific to the "something went wrong" error on Android. Your contracts working correctly suggests it's not a multi-device login limitation.
