It happened already more than once to me that the Porsche charger with Porsche Charging priority, lead me to a Porsche station with 10% remaining battery... to see that the chargers are BEHIND the wall & hence not usable...
I figured out you can manually check for this, when tapping on the charge station & scrolling down... however it is manual each time, and when it is closed, you cannot drop the station without desactivating the whole charging planner...
Very frustrating & inconvenient - any Porsche plans to fix it? (best would be to allow filtering on the charge brand, as Ionity is cheapest with the Porsche charging card, + allow to exclude a station from the charge planning or even better take into account the opening hours)

In the UK (no idea about elsewhere) the chargers at porsche centres are completely excluded from the car satnav if they have some restrictions - eg behind locked gates in the evening. At least that's what porsche mobility told me.

The downside of this is you can't set them as a destination charger (even if you know the centre is open etc), so the battery won't pre-condition on the way to it. Consequence for me was 50kwh at a 350kwh porsche charger. I wasn't that impressed having to pay the £0.40 per minute time charge on top of the power charge for something so slow.

Surely can't be that hard to upload opening times (for their own dealerships) to the car's search criteria?

Not figuring out 24/7 access to those chargers is a real misstep by Porsche. They are competing against the Tesla supercharger network. That network is not new so this wasn't an unknown challenge.

They spent the money putting in these high-speed dealer network chargers – yet get almost no value from it.

At every VW/Porsche company update they allude to building a "brand appropriate" charging network alongside IONITY – yet they've already made a start – and its a poor one.

And the UI/industrial design of the Porsche Chargers is really good. Just make them properly available.

Just had a very similar experience. Porsche charge planner recommended to charge at a Porsche Center. Gate closed. Called service and they said the Porsche Center has properly entered their opening hours to the system (full closure on Sundays) and their chargers have been properly blocked in the system. It’s just my car that doesn’t know about it.
Super frustrating.

Work around is to use My Porsche App and review the destination charger there where access and times are available. Route can then be sent to the car.

I also thought you could check the details in NAV also on a per EVSE basis when searching and therefore manually filter.

Yes, we confirm you can do it manually to some extent:
  • by each time click & scroll to each (intermediate) charger opening hours to check if the suggested charger is relevant...
  • if it turns out to be irrelevant, you have to deactivate the whole charge planner & you're up to your own, after being brought into trouble.

Instead, we propose that Porsche does that tedious and error-prone routine task automatically, and/or allows to exclude chargers based on brand and/or limited opening hours.

Since we cannot change the software in our car, the answer to the customer above that all is fine is not customer friendly & irrelevant.

For this reason, meantime, I had to deactivate 'prefer Porsche Charging stations'

Can you get the destination sent to your car and it will arrive in the car?? Mine has not worked since the “”update”” of the PCM or servers or whatever it was. I have lost all of my programmed favourites. They are available in the web version but not in the app or in the car.

I would also like to block all of these Porsche charging services since they re occur every time the PCM gets map updates on a long journey. Even if you check that you only have desired charge stops from the beginning that lousy PCM gets a map update and then useless charging stops are planned in. In Italy quite a lot of Enel 50 kW rather than Ionity. And at times a long detour as well.

And the information in the My Porsche app is not very ip yo date either.

If Porsche does not know if the charger is open on a Sunday, what chance would I have to know it?

Sending routes works fine.

Just skip Porsche Centre EVSE locations would be the simplest thing to do. Invariably there will be a non EV parked in the space which the PCM will have no clue about!

I have lost that functionality as well! Used to be available in the old Connect app. But I can no longer plan any routes or charging stations along the route? Have deleted app and reinstalled several times now.

Yes I can see the same and have the same screen. I also can set the favourite there as well as clicking send to vehicle, but that is never received in the vehicle. Nor is the favourite added!

However I meant more setting a destination and then letting the app plan the trip with charging stops. That does not work for me at all. And I can see the number of chargers in total and available in the app as well, but not in the PCM map. That used to be there before? And it is visible in the Porsche Spot On videos!

Is your Charging Planner missing from your PCM - some people have reported this?

Is this what you mean?
