I don't believe there are any UK retailers - I bought direct from the website and it shipped from Germany. Note you need to pay import duty and VAT on top of what the seller charges.

Yeah, I saw that - mine's a MY23 so it worked fine. Might be worth an email to them to check, maybe with your VIN?

You need surround view but nothing else required other than the dongle. You turn on the car, open the bonnet (!) and plug the dongle into the OBD port. Programming is automatic and (from what I remember) completes in a minute or so.

I have surround and had the hack on my 4S but Porsche fixed that from MY23 onwards.

Apparently the face lifted one has new camera software, according to my porsche dealership. It is supposed to make a difference. I say suppose, because I noticed none during my test drive.

There was also a recall because of this, since apparently quite a few shipped without being updated to new camera software... obviously, not OTA.

I don't have the specific recall number, as I don't have a MY25. It was only coffee talk with the dealer. On a quick google, i found this one that seems related, but I am not sure if it is the same:

No, it locks to the car's VIN the first time you use it.

Don't you also lose side view from the 360 panoramic view once you get the additional virtual cameras?

It's tempting but I'd miss the side view for sure.

360 view is okay, front camera is great (my first car with front camera).
I can't think of any car has worse rear camera... EVER...

I could not agree more. Front camera is cool. The rear camera is [me googling 'what's worse than sucks'] horrendous, ghastly, atrocious. The '14 Range Rover's rear camera is light years ahead of the Tacan's.

I have a 2 month old MY25 as a loaner currently that does not have the 360 package and the reverse camera is terrible compared to my MY23 with 360

You can enable this through Piwis. I tried it on mine, but wasn’t impressed with the image quality, so I switched it back. You also lose the kerb view option when it’s enabled.

I’m fairly sure that the wing mirror cameras on Taycans that have the 3D system are better, which is why the stitched surround view looks more seamless and better quality.

not worth it in my opinion especially not for $300

I have had this on all 3 of my JLR Defenders and never really used it. This one truly feels like a gimmick.
