I picked up a MY 2022 CT this weekend and on 3 different occasion the "keyfob not detected" issue has popped up. On the last occasion it was while I was backing out of my driveway and it put the car in neutral. After putting the keyfob in cupholder it worked. Is this something I need to worry about or just make it a habit of leaving keyfob in the cupholder. I havent tried with the other key to see if the issue repros with it as well or not.

Thanks!

Where do you normally keep your key?

If you don't have it when in the car eg. you've placed it nearby temporarily then you'll get this message.

If the key is kept in your pocket then it should be fine and will re-register each time you exit / enter the car

If this doesn't work the cupholder placement will force a reregistration.

Battery level in the fob might be a causal factor too.

keys were in my pocket when this happened. And I did not have my phone or any other electronic device in my pocket at the time. I will try replacing the batteries but this is just 2 day old car, though it sat at the port for a very long time so dont know if that somehow drained the batteries.
