Hi guys

I have 1 more year on the Taycan lease. I am at 13k miles and my rear wheels are at 2-3/32, so ready for replacement.

The front tires are at 4/32

I drive about 7k miles per year.

Would you just get the 4 tires? Would you just get the real tires for now?

Currently have NFO pirellis summer ( I am in FL).

Do again pirellis?, any experience with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5? Want to keep NF0 or NF1 as will have to return lease and dont want to argue w Porsche dealer.

Thanks

John

I can’t comment on the lease and your decision to change the tires
But I can comment on the model/brand. I had the Pirelli. My front tires were dead after 18k km.
I opted for the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 NF0. Happy with my choice. I am now 11k km later and almost no wear. Also they have less rolling resistance (better consumption)
However I am still on stock pirelli in the rear, they are almost worn but not yet. Probably a couple extra thousand km and then I will switch to Goodyear as well.

Tire tread isn't the only determining factor for overall tire condition. The tread is fine on my rears but they have split on the inner edge. Do a close inspection before deciding. I'm getting 4 new Michelins put on tomorrow. So that would be my recommendation to you as well.

Thanks for your advice

Has anyone heard on issues about returning a leased car with Michelins that are not NF0?

Regards

John

I am at the dealer today and they report I am at 4 on the rears and 5 on the fronts...Michelin with 28k miles. I am going with Michelin again!

John, a few months old thread but here are the requirements on lease return: N-spec tires (like Michelin Pilot Sport 4 or Continental ProContact RX) are tuned for EV weight distribution, low rolling resistance, and high-speed stability. They’re marked with codes like N0, N1, N2, etc., indicating Porsche approval.

I saw someone returned a Taycan with Michelins Crossclimate 2 tires, so I asked my SA about returning lease that are not NF0. He confirmed with his manager that are okay.
