Leather interior package

Hey all, new here to the forum. I am thinking about ordering a 2023 Taycan 4S CT once it is available. I have been going back and forth on the leather interior upgrade. I know there is a bigger color palette to choose from and also additional surfaces that get leather. My question is, is the leather the same on both the standard and upgraded package for the driver and passenger seats? Do they use different leather or do different surfaces of the seats get leather?

The only leather in the standard interior is the seat inner surface on the base and back and the inner sides of the bolsters, plus perhaps the front face of the headrest.That is just the bit with direct contact.
The rest of the seats, door panels and dashboard are synthetic.

Leather is different as well. Standard has a rougher pebbled leather, and upgraded is smooth leather. Only leather that is the same for both is on the steering wheel, which is the smooth leather

If you take a look at the details under the information icon for each interior it will list what is covered in leather and what isn't.

If budget permits select extended leather - you'll get your money back (within reason) on resale. Top of dashboard is covered and provides that lux experience.

The more expensive olea leather adds a few more elements covered on leather in addition to adding neodyme accent - not worth the premium IMHO.

Second this. I was quite set on Meranti Brown Olea leather, then was presented with a sample from my dealer.

Imagine a child being promised a bag of sweets, then they get handed a potato. Uncooked.

That was my reaction.

And on the point of the accent package, I find neodym is too much like an antique gold, and shouldn't be in a cutting edge sports car; dark silver is nothing special, but there is something that connects them both:

The shiny plastic they are made from looks and feels tacky. I was especially unimpressed with the cup holder accent which, from memory, spins around if you handle it.

I'm saving myself £300 and leaving it matte black to complement my chalk (crayon) leather interior.

That money is going into the Porsche Design clock, because I am that kind of idiot, and find the subsecond clock resembles a cheap Casio.

My Neptune blue CT has truffle brown Olea leather. And I think it is one of the best options on the vehicle.
