I took delivery of a CPO on 2/7 and was assured that the remainder of the charging time would transfer as well as Porsche Connect and that after logging in using my Porsche ID, the Innodrive, PIRM and ALK would then activate. This far, the Innodrive and ALK seem to be working. When the ACC is active, the vehicle does steer within the lane and adjust speed based on vehicles in front of me. The system damn near startled me half to death when I was testing, out of curiosity, what will the car do if I continued to ignore the messages about taking over the steering wheel. I'm talking about the seat belt tensioning. I was alert and expecting the car to escalate the warnings but still it got me and got me good. If I was, say tired and starting to nod off, that would have scared me half way to death!

Anyway, I called PCNA to inquire why after a week the app was still saying "Porsche Connect Services We are working on your order. Please not that activation times may vary depending on the selected services" and was told it was an activation glitch due to an error the agent could see in the system. I was told it had to be rectified in Germany and that I could expect it resolved in 2-3 business days. I called today as it is the 3rd day and nearly the end of the day for Germany. Now I'm told it needs to be escalated and it will be another 3 business days.

Good grief.

This reminds me of the time PCNA Road Side left me on the side of the road for 6 hours with 3 tire blow-outs due to debris that was ejected from a truck in front of me on Rt 78. Each time I'd call I would be told the previous agent didn't log the call properly but rest assured, it would be done correctly this time but it means another 60-90 minutes. Because they kept stringing me along, I delayed calling for a truck on my own until I had enough of their BS and bit the bullet. That truck was there in 30 minutes.

Porsche never did reimburse me. Porsche never apologized. Porsche never replied to me on FB or Twitter.

If we hadn't been following the Taycan since it was better named Mission E, I would have gone with a Tesla.

My experience with calling PCNA was if the issue had to be forwarded to someone else, with resolution in 2 to 3 days, I had to keep calling back to get status, as opposed to PCNA contacting me.
If you purchased your car from a Porsche dealer, I'd suggest going back to the dealer and have them fix the problem, not let you be handed off to a rep at PCNA. You paid for CPO, the services and your activation should have been completed at the time of delivery.
This is not a you to need work with PCNA issue, this is a dealer failed to have the car fully working at delivery problem.
The dealer can expedite if you insist on it.

You need to eat a Snickers… ?

Not sure were the blame for Porsche is coming from. This is a dealer problem, not a Porsche problem. They promised you something and didn’t deliver. Call them to fix it for you. Saves you a lot of stress and frustration.

Enjoy your car! And don’t forget to post some pictures!

The dealer dropped the ball for sure but going back isn't convenient. It is a 2 hour round trip drive. Too time consuming and no guarantee they will be successful if the solution is truly at the mercy of Porsche Germany.

My angst with PCNA is that I was given an expectation which appears to have been unsubstantiated because the agent failed to file the report correctly. Then to not even escalate this to slim down the 3 business day time frame smacks of indifference. If every time they file a report it's 3 business days, it really means 3 calendar days followed by 5 calendar days. It's just annoying.

I do love the car though.
