Hi - Wondering if anyone has had the 'Leather-free' interior for a while? (not the all race-text a'la GTS).

How does it looks? wear? feel etc?

I am considering the graphite blue version - But can't find an example to look at.

Cheers

I had the vegan interior in a demonstrator for the weekend. To me it felt cheap and that I was in a poverty spec vehicle, although it is an “upgrade” it still has the standard plastic dashboard which (to me) is a big step down from the full leather. Immediately after handing the demo back I sat in a Turbo S with full leather and it felt like a completely different car.

I suppose if you are against animal skin in a car you don’t have any choice, although my argument would be that leather is a by-product of the meat industry and without the leather trade all of the skin would be waste.

Unfortunately that is not correct. The skin for leather seats is usually not from meat cows. They are specific for the skin. Don’t know if they sell the meat as a by product however.

Yes, unfortunately beef and leather production has a huge environmental impact whatever cows are reared for.
The tanning process is grim too. The OLEA process apparently reduces the impact of this.
I don’t mind leather in a Turbo or TS but I am going Race tex next in a GTS (which has bits of leather which don’t offend me)
I had base trim last time and I have driven 3 long term loaners with full leather. I see zero improvement in quality with full leather! There are less seams in the plastic trim so it’s actually a smoother finish and the quality of the plastics is incredibly high. I can’t tell wear leather stops and plastic starts.
The German (English speaking) reviewer Autogefuhl raves about the vegan interior. Watch his videos too.
Vegan and RaceTex always more functional that leather which is hot and sweaty in summer and cold in winter.
I would take it, but not in a GTS as the first rule of GTS club is…….
Don’t de-GTS a GTS!!
