here is an adapter that would let you ($11)
Use at your own risk! I’m not saying this safe make your own decisions and use your own judgement
use this only with the 6-20 adpter to plug into another NEMA X-20 receptical - if you are plugging into a 5-15 recepticial use the vendor provided 5-15 plug adapter such that the Mustart charger “knows” it’s using a 15-amp circuit.
using a 20 amp adapter on the EVSE and then pluggin into a 15 amp circuit will leave the EVSE under the impression it’s using a 20 amp circuit and will report to the vehicle it can pull 16 amps - see the problem?
Match the amps and you’ll be fine regardless of the plug shape/configuration - convert one amp value to another amp value danger will robinson - danger!!! Don’t convert 20 amp to 10 amp plugs - that’s not good.
- plug in the 6-20 supply cable to the adapter
- plug in the adapter to to the 5-20 wall outlet
- the Mustart would properly only attemp to pull 16 amps from the 20 amp circuit
- the car _NOT_ the EVSE would detect and charger at 120 volts
