After 5 months of trouble free use of the PCM, for some reason today it suddenly logged me out.

Went to start a journey and the continue as guest screen came up.

I did the 2 finger soft reset of the PCM to see if that would help (no change) and then continued as a guest (as my account was there, but greyed out).

I drove home in guest mode and have now parked up.

As its the first time its happened since it was all set up at the dealers, I am just wondering what will happen next?

Will it likely log itself back in and just start working normally?

Will I need to log in manually?

Is the login ID the same as on My Porsche website?

Any pointers appreciated.

Thanks.

Yes, you use your Porsche ID to sign into the website, car and Connect app.

I signed into the Taycan myself when I got the car, after Porsche invited me to create my Porsche ID.

This happened to me once and a day later it was fine. Server bug maybe?

Will probably sort itself out.

Sometimes using the other key to unlock can force the change in account

Porsche Connect ID and password is the same wherever and whatever you log into.

Should auto login again once it has sorted itself out

Ideally don't pull the trigger on the PCM reset as the first fix. Lock and leave for a while.

I've had this several times and the key shimy has worked on most occasions. Once it took overnight to sort.

Thanks for all the replies. ?

I don't have a 2nd key yet, so couldn't try that option.

But, it mysteriously went back to normal today (as suggested).

Only problem was, I had to put it into privacy mode to use it in guest mode yesterday. So I couldn't use the app to see charge rate etc, until I got in the car today.

This video is quite useful for PCM setup - if like me the dealer set it all up.
In retrospect, I wish he had let me do it, then I would have been able to sort the issue and save posting here.
