long wait for production allocation - 4S ST - europe

I'm posting this as I don't feel I'm getting info from dealership.

I placed my order mid februari and understood at that point production allocation date would be set in 4 to 6 weeks, we are now at 8 weeks and I have no news.

Anyone else placed a recent european order? How long did it take?


edited to be more clear - not looking on waiting time to delivery or production, but on waiting time to receive a production slot

I don't realy see the humor in purposely not answering the question. Found in other threads that it's normally still 8 weeks.

Sorry, not trying to be humorous. I waited 9 months for a production allocation. In the UK at least, 8 weeks would be incredibly quick and most wait many many months but hope it comes through for you.

ok - I'm not english native - so just to make sure that we are talking about the same thing. Are you then talking about the moment your car went into production or the moment porsche gave you a "slot" in the factory? Because it's the latter I'm asking about but I might not have been clear enough.

I agree, in the Netherlands I was quoted 7-8 months to get a slot / allocation then it still has to be built and get shipped. UK was similar.

I have had my order in for 6 weeks and I am expecting to wait until Aug / Sept for my allocation with delivery around Christmas based on my most recent discussion with my SA

No, (in the UK at least) it can be quite some time before a build slot is confirmed - I had a letter of intent with my dealer for a Sport Turismo GTS model before the model was officially announced, and paid a deposit on launch day. However there were at least two other people that had done the same thing and I ended up 3rd on the list.
I think it was almost 12 months before the dealer received their third slot for a ST GTS and the production slot was confirmed for my car.

Ended up relocating to UK so got a cancelled order. Dealer in NL was addament it would be 6 months min to get an allocation, every other dealer said the same.

It's very dependent on your country. I live in Denmark and they had available production slots when I ordered in November (For production in march or april).
