I don't know the specifics of your case but I would expect the hoses to be better protected/covered so they are not hit by debris.

There is a cover for the bottom of this area. But it is not very rigid so I can see how a big rock at highway speeds could penetrate it.
You are lucky it did not hit the battery.

Most likely it is because the cause of the bug is a "rare" condition that is not easily reproducible and depends on a number of conditions happening at the same time. If that were not the case, most likely every car on the road would experience the same bug. The simpler the reproducible case, the higher the chance they would have fixed it during development and the bug would never have been present in our cars. By definition, the ones they don't catch are the ones that are harder to find/reproduce.

Because most cars these days (especially electric ones) are computers on wheels, there's a lot of interdependent systems all operating at the same time, exchanging data back and forth. That means there's a lot of opportunities for bugs, but it also means that rarely occurring ones might require multiple different systems to meet specific conditions in order to reproduce.

I wouldn’t call it rare. I got the messages today. In addition to the messages, the car drove like a bad low-rider with chopped springs and bounced terribly over bumps until I somehow got it home (I was only a few blocks away, thank goodness). I am having the vehicle trailered in and I will not drive it in for service as it’s very unsafe in this state. I love my 4s and have 3k miles in 1.5 months, but it’s been buggy as heck. Doesn’t remember profile and key…car play works every 11th time. Garage door opener works every 8th button press. I get computers and software can be buggy, but this is amateur coding at best.

My Taycan Turbo S fixed and they 2 options. one compensations for not having my car for 2 months and having all these problems. Options 2 to buy the car back.

Now I am in 2 minds whether to take the compensation and keep the car or to give the car back and get full refund. Offer is pretty good.

Hey! Can you let me know what was exactly fixed in the end? I am having a similar problem with a Turbo S in Switzerland and so far it seems to be impossible to fix it.

I think one solenoid was bad that caused it over heat. See below for what is changed and this fixed the issue.
