Media issue - does anyone else have this problem or have a solution?

Most - but not all - of the time when I get in my car, the media selection defaults to Apple Car play and it plays the last track I selected on Spotify on my phone.

This would fine, except when I was last in the car I was listening to the car's DAB radio and the Spotify app is closed on my phone.

When I select DAB, it plays the first station it finds and not the last station I listened to. So I have to select favourites and then select the desired station.

It's trivial but also bloody frustrating, and it's not an issue I've had with any car before. And it's especially annoying given there's no media source button on the steering wheel.

Is there a setting somewhere to force the media to the last source and track / station I listened to?

There have been discussions of this glitch. No solution I know of. Mine also does not start radio where it left off. It has something to do with CarPlay connecting and then taking over. (In the US DAB is called HD radio.)

Crappy software / attention to detail.
It should really be an easy over the air fix. But suspect, but it's not something Porsche will ever address.

I find it happens some of the time and I think only if I have been in my wife's car using Carplay or listening on AirPods and it will then pick up where I left off there. If on the other hand I had stopped the media on my phone as opposed to just getting out of the car and locking it or removing an AirPod then the PCM stays on DAB.

Similar to how the car will continue a call you were on when you get in, the phone overrides the PCM.

Yes agree with that. If I’ve been using the phone media and just get in the car, when CarPlay connects it will continue the phone media. If the phone media is stopped before getting in and connecting CarPlay, then it will stay on the last media used in the car.
