It's mostly working for me. However, it is failing to send charging timers to the car. So if you've sent one today, i suggest you check the car received it.

I thought i'd sent one a few hours ago and noticed it had disappeared off the app. Tried resending and just getting spinning wheel.

I'd much rather have the control functions of my old 911 than this electronic mess. It's the squeaking wheel that gets the grease. Only when we go public with our complaints will we get significant improvement.

I think I’ve found the real answer…

The software crisis team at Porsche were in the process of upgrading the server from Windows 3 to Windows 3.1 NT when their floppy disc drive failed due to overheating. Fortunately one of their bright interns had a Sinclair ZX81 Spectrum with them which they’d adapted to enable the C5 to travel 20.5 miles, a signifiant increase to the already impressive 20 mile range.

Using a sophisticated system of ‘smoke and mirrors’ they managed to restart the server and provide owners of Porsche’s version of the C5 with a working operating system and smartphone application very close to what their rivals Tesla offered as standard on their Models S a mere 13 years ago.

A Porsche spokesperson said ‘ Things can only get better. Now that we’ve managed to replace Herbert Diess with one of our own (Oliver Blume), we are confident that the latest models of the Taycan, code named C5+-+-+, will continue to be the best electric sports car in the world’. (He said crossing his fingers).

You heard it here first…

? sometimes it seems like this could be the case. Hopefully Porsche are hiring the right people to move things in a better direction. It can take time to transform a company.

In my case, everything is back online since Sunday 1600 CET (PCM + myporsche app + web portal) - it required fiddling with privacy deactivation (useless) a couple of times.

Yes when myporsche/PCM are not offline, they sport a not so good UX / UI. Almost as bad as going for a spirited drive in a Tesla.

Why is this mess limited to the Taycan? I have a 992 tts (my22) and PCM / front end is the same and yet almost no glitches, always on-line etc.

Yup. Mine was working, then stopped yesterday. The old app does work for me. The VW CEO was terminated a few days ago, reportedly because of major problems with software development at VW, Porsche, Audi. I can believe that! These guys are still learning how to be a software company in addition to being a hardware company. Elon figured that out a long time ago (being a software guy by background).

So after raising a complaint Porsche now want to talk to me. I have to say to have a global outage for a service we are encouraged to use is unbelievable in this day and age. Whey they are using an on premise server to handle all of this traffic is beyond me, they should be using a cloud resource that has the scale and reach required. Even now I am getting issues….just not acceptable.

That’s weird I am in the US too but there’s no place for me to control the vehicle on the website. Not sure if being a 2022 makes the difference.
It’s not intuitive. If you down to the services section and click on one of them like the climate
Porsche Taycan Does anyone have mobile app issue? 0BE938AE-4DBA-4114-97A7-5D84E28348F3

It opens up the E-mobility screen and that’s where you can turn on precool and other stuff

Aaaaand it's back.
Yeee.
For some reason I think it'll be ok for a longer period of time now... ?
Letus hope so? It really has been an unstable service for a long time now. This time it did not seem to be the car though, but rather the servers at Porsche?
