Since last week the web gui on my.porsche.com shows the trip details in miles and speed in mph. This used to be km and kmh. I can fix this by going to my profile settings and selecting preferred language "English" (which is already the active setting). Then the web gui switches back to km and kmh, but only for the active session.

Every new session starts with miles and mph. Tested both in Safari and in Chrome. Any suggestions?

Maybe this has something todo with localisation, where my browser suggests a locale and gets redirected to: https://my.porsche.com/core/gb/en_GB/vehicles/ (and GB of course has miles)? Should there be other URLs I can try as well?

About time too - fed up with the inconveniences across the various mediums.

Display is also improved for mobile layout.

Maybe nice for you to have miles and mph, but I'm using km & km/h here. And I'd like to learn how to default to those in the web gui.

I've had to put up with it for 2 years - it has taken this long to address - my turn I guess

I don't understand why the web page doesn't automatically detect locale and alter the units according to that. Another poor example of Porsche programming.

Same situation with the PMCC web interface - wrong units for my region and a timezone offset which couldn't adjust to my zone. This was fixed earlier this year all due to basic school boy programming errors and lack of testing

I don't know why it has to do anything with the units. It's your account, you should be able to choose and it remain like that. I'm a Brit living in the NL, so I may want to keep miles...as it happens I'm used to km now, so that's what I want. But I still use mpg rather than l/100km. When I'm visiting the UK, however, I hope it doesn't change to miles.

The point is you can't customise and so in the absence of that it should base on your locale as per Windows, Android, iOS and so on to provide consistency. For Porsche to provide user selectable units would require a degree of programming ability which hitherto has been absent.

I agree to your logic and rationale, however in practice it turns out that even following the default settings of either your browser/OS or the user profile is not how my.porsche.com works. I gave this a few tries.

(1) I reconfigured & rebooted macOS to run with nl-nl as default region and language:

* a testing website shows me that the browser's Accept-Language header has changed to "nl-nl"
* going to my.porsche.com still defaults to English and miles (where it used to be Englisch and km's in previous months)

(2) I reconfigured my account in my.porsche.com to be language = Dutch. After a restart / logging in again, I am still presented with English and miles, eventhough the language preference under my account is indeed set to Dutch.

(3) Changing back the my.porsche.com profile to English, gives me an English website with km's.

Something is completely screwed here. The best solution would be to add one attribute to the configureable profile, and honour that. Any entry point where I can drop this as a bug?

I know it doesn't work. They have made changes and not tested.
