Just an update for anyone who is interested. Took care into dealer today. Showed them the fix as posted by 02bluesuperroo, worked perfectly. Now able to log in. Everything now working as it should. Also, should note that apparently I have two Porsche ID accounts and never received email to activate Taycan or Porsche connect. Did this today at dealership and left a very happy man! Love this car. Haven't driven my 911 since it arrived. Hope this fix helps others.

I have had the flashing SOS red light of death since I received the car on Dec 23rd. I went to drive it this evening and the red light was gone and had turned solid green. I was able to finally log onto PCM and get the car setup. I did nothing to make this happen. I had not been to the dealer yet as I had not had time. I did contact Porsche via text message last week about it and they told me I had to go to the dealer for the work that was contained in the service bulletin pertaining to this issue. However, as of about 6 pm it must have received some sort of over the air update from Porsche HQ. I have started and turned off the car several times now and the issue has not come back. Thank you car gods!

I can also now connect to the car via the "My Porsche" app with full functionality.
