Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone here can help or share their experience.

I bought my Taycan in Ukraine and recently moved to Spain. I’ve completed the import process and the car is now fully registered with Spanish plates. I was able to set up Porsche Connect and link the car to my My Porsche account.

However, the official Porsche dealer here in Spain refuses to activate internet services in the car — no online navigation, traffic info, or remote access. They say they can’t help because the car was originally from Ukraine.

Does anyone know of any independent service or specialist in Spain who can help with this? Maybe someone who can change the PCM region or activate the online features manually?

Any advice or contact info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

I think you'd need Porsche (in Germany) to update their database. The car might also need a new SIM for the mobile network (or I guess it might be an eSIM now).

Thanks for the suggestion! I’ve just written to Porsche Germany — but to be honest, I expect they’ll either ignore the request or just say it’s not possible to do.

That’s why I’m mainly looking for non-official services or specialists who could help unlock these features manually.

Appreciate any tips if you know someone!

That sounds really interesting!

So you installed a modem with a SIM card from a regular mobile provider in the trunk?
How did you get it to work with the car? Did you connect it to the PCM somehow, or just use it as a hotspot for devices?

Would love to hear more details!

Any chance you can advise how you did that. I’d like to do the same please.

I installed a wifi hotspot with unlimited data card in the trunk in right corner where only metal is, no glass above.
NETGEAR Nighthawk M3 - 5G Router SIM Card, Mobile WiFi Router | Up to 2.5Gbps - SIM Slot Unlocked - Portable WiFi Hotspot z - 5G and 4G MiFi, up to 32 Devices (MH3150) and a large akku to keep online for 3-4 days like
Craftfull Powerstation Fast Charge PS500 | 750 Watt - Lithium LiFePO4 Battery - 80% after > 2000 Charging Cycles - SOS - USB-C/USB-A/Car/Schuko Plug (0% VAT 500 Watt)

so all guests can have stable inet access.
