Different manufactures using different ports these days is crazy - it's like the USB days.

UK and EU use a standard port Type 2 AC and CCS Combo 2 (CCS2) for DC charging. I would assume no matter the type there is an adaptor for it.

this tread is related to North American EVSE power supply outlets/sockets…and Porsche's North American offerings for the included EVSE provided with the vehicle

in this case a 2018 Panamera Hybrid - which apparently came with a 30 amp EVSE

this thread is a FAQ for new owners that are confused by the two major North American 240V sockets/outlet types and hopefully clears up confusion for new North American EV owners - these bits of trivia are not applicable for UK or EU and other regions…
