After my wife put 172k miles on her 2011 Cayenne over 13 years (and never once asked for a new car), I just got her a 2025 Taycan Base for her 50th birthday. At breakfast last Saturday, I gave her a gift bag with small gifts in it, but under that tissue paper were the new keys. She actually ran to the garage and started to hyperventilate. I purchased a large bow for the front.

The MSRP was $123,145 (PB+, Sport Chromo, Premium Pkg). This is a popular option package/price point dealers order for the base 2025. She loved the Ice Grey Metallic over limestone beige interior I selected. We love the car. More than enough power for daily commute or Costco runs. I have a 991.2 S - and this Taycan is almost as fun to drive. The first time I drove the Taycan, I was really impressed. More than an EV, it truly is a supercar powered by electricity.

I put a bid out to 5 dealers on a 39-month lease; I ended up getting the MFG $7,500 off PLUS another cap cost reduction from dealer of $10k more! Current supply of 2025s are over 260 days. Dealers need to get rid of these to avoid mounting floorplan interest. I am happy with the deal I was able to make. My local dealer did not have the specs I wanted.

Looking forward to learning here. We live in the Atlanta area. I didn't see a new owner introduction area.

What a great first post!
Reading that made me really smile this morning.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Ian! I'm fighting not liking this more than the 911. Maybe because it's new and the 911 is 2 years old to me. Perfect car for my wife; but for me I'm tempted to test drive a used Taycan Turbo due to the current prices. If I test drive a turbo, I know I'll fall in love.

I prefer the wide power band and instant throttle response to any IC engined car with a turbo, and the wide power band beats normally aspirated ones too.
FWIW I haven't driven my 2-seater for 2 years, the only thing wrong, for me, is the width - it is far too wide to be nimble on our local roads and is hard to park in UK spaces.

What a cute story ? I feel exactly the same way about my TAYCAN and I picked up a 2021 4S about 5 months ago! I also have a 991.2 and thank goodness I have a battery tender on it. I’m now just driving it out of necessity because I’m obsessed with the TAYCAN! Don’t get rid of your 991.2 either way! The new 911’s are through the roof expensive and IMO our previous generation looks so much better!

It is wide. We have a narrow garage as do all homes in our subdivision - she must be real careful driving in...good that the mirrors retract!

Jaime! I agree! I am obsessed with the new Taycan. I keep going in the garage to sit in my wife's car. But...I'll keep the 991.2 for sure. I purchased it used with 13k miles a few years ago. While I like the 992, I too agree the 991.2 looks better. This "S" came with nice adds like Fab Speed Exaust, a $5k internal radar detector, OZ racing wheels, and deviated stitching to match the Lizard racing green calipers. Unwritten rule on other forums: post pics...

Okay… here’s to the unwritten rule ?

Whoa! Two great shades of blue! We both have narrow garages. I think one of the best adds was the carbon fiber lip on the rear spoiler....

Back on point since this is a Taycan forum. Here is the coolest color on a Taycan I've seen. Of course it's a wrap.

Everyone needs a cupholder; but I really like the original Mission E shift lever on the center console.

Nice Ice Grey! Taycan + 911 is a Porsche enthusiast combo for sure!
