After my wife put 172k miles on her 2011 Cayenne over 13 years (and never once asked for a new car), I just got her a 2025 Taycan Base for her 50th birthday. At breakfast last Saturday, I gave her a gift bag with small gifts in it, but under that tissue paper were the new keys. She actually ran to the garage and started to hyperventilate. I purchased a large bow for the front.
The MSRP was $123,145 (PB+, Sport Chromo, Premium Pkg). This is a popular option package/price point dealers order for the base 2025. She loved the Ice Grey Metallic over limestone beige interior I selected. We love the car. More than enough power for daily commute or Costco runs. I have a 991.2 S - and this Taycan is almost as fun to drive. The first time I drove the Taycan, I was really impressed. More than an EV, it truly is a supercar powered by electricity.
I put a bid out to 5 dealers on a 39-month lease; I ended up getting the MFG $7,500 off PLUS another cap cost reduction from dealer of $10k more! Current supply of 2025s are over 260 days. Dealers need to get rid of these to avoid mounting floorplan interest. I am happy with the deal I was able to make. My local dealer did not have the specs I wanted.
Looking forward to learning here. We live in the Atlanta area. I didn't see a new owner introduction area.
