New Taycan 2025 question

Hello. We just got a new Taycan 2025 delivered today. And I have a couple of questions. The new app ScreenTV (we didn’t have it on our previous one and don’t have it on a new 911 turbo s or Macan). So it’s new to us. The tech person today set it up and showed how to use it. I really would like to be able to use YouTube and on the iPhone I can add it but it never shows up on a screen of a car?! Am I missing something?
Also we ordered the car with a tan seats and it came with two colored leather seats. Which I really dislike….its tan and black..also very impractical since we live in Florida and use sunscreen frequently and it constantly leaves marks on black leather.. I know it can’t be changed anymore and our sales person didn’t come back to us yet on that… but is this a new thing now for a Taycan to make it two colored seats even if it was ordered just in one?

Two tone would have been visible in the configurator and quitenoticeableon the seating. . Recheck there but pretty sure it will be rendered as you selected it. Is new for MY25 making two tone a hesitant choice now.

Can't help with YouTube but try the owner’s manual first. Suspect car may have to be stationary too.

Video is only available while stationary or on the passenger screen if you have that specced. It also only works while the car is connected to WiFi, typically by tethering to your phone.

All this should however be described on the screen when you launch the app, so if you’re getting a blank screen it’s probably a bug. Maybe try restarting the PCM in that case.

Thank you for your reply! Yes, even when the car is stationary YouTube is not there. But mostly I wanted it to worked on a passenger side. It’s strange that I can see and add it on that app on the phone but not in the car. Probably some car bug again?the app is very slow but it does work just not the YouTube. it works not only through WiFi but just with the car internet itself.

I don't know whether they offer different services in different regions, but as far as I know, there's no Youtube player for the Taycan. You can watch Netflix, Max, Prime Video and a few other services through the ScreenHits app, but not Youtube.

I’m sorry, I think I didn’t explain myself correctly here. YouTube on the ScreenHits app- yes. The tech person told me yesterday that it should work on ScreenHits. And when I add it on my phone to the same profile I use in the car- it still not showing up in the car.

The tech person from our Porsche dealership just responded and said that Porsche is still working on it and it might appear in Screennhit in the car in the future.
Also another little issue. We put in order massage seats and Porsche didn’t put it in. They said they wanted to deliver it asap and it would slow down the production of our vehicle… oh well.
But apart from those little issues, the car is great and have some nice new things inside!?

I would suggest reviewing the configuration and paperwork something doesn’t seem right. The massage seats and two tone leather seats -- it sounds like someone made a mistake and is covering up, at the least it should have been disclosed to you before delivery. I would make lots of noise. BTW, I just got notice that my car is in port, so thank you for alerting me to this!!

I’m not sure if it was a mistake or why did this happen. My husband’s dealer who he works with for 30 years said it was on the order. But because it was said that we are going to get the the first car delivered (which we really didn’t care) may be that’s the reason they did that?! Anyways we are in Europe and going to be for the rest of the summer. So will have to talk to them when we are back. Especially we never needed the car so early since we left the next day…

Yes, we probably going to exchange it when we are back in town… everything on papers is what we’ve put in order, but it came out with those strange seats and no massage. They wanted to rush the delivery because the sales person

actually I looked it up now, and the tan, beige and red seats now comes with black… for all the taycans.. oh well, strange why they changed it, used to be much better one tone. And the massage function they said they rushed the car to deliver one of the first available because my husband is a really valuable client of theirs… really screwed up??‍ will figure out when we come back to the states. But the car itself is very nice! Some PCM functions are completely new.
