For a Taycan 4 to be driven by my wife and me: Will we get two fobs, or need to buy one? Am I correct in guessing that the car can't remember more than one driver's seat/mirrors settings? The only relevant configuration option is Power Seats (14-way) with Memory Package.

I can only speak for the J1.2, but it came with two fobs and if you're carrying only one when you power down the car, it will associate the fob with the current user. The drivers seat and side mirror positions are remembered per-user.

So if you create a secondary user and one of you is the primary and the other is a secondary user, that should work. Just remember to switch users before you power down with a different fob. I just did this for my wife since her e-tron was in the shop.

(Normally I don't touch the power button at all. I just leave the car and lock it, and it goes to sleep.)

Wife and I do this, who ever is driving needs to unlock and lock the car. The other person needs to remember to not grab the door handle before the driver does. If the passenger is carrying a key and grabs the handle the car will set the seats, dash and pcm to that user. Also if the driver gets out of the car to get something (i.e. the mail), they need to remember to leave their key in the car. otherwise the car can jump to the other key.

The easy solution is to have only one key in the car at a time, but when we are together we always have both keys.

Odd question but 2 sets of keys (normal in UK). All cars are sold with two in our region.

Multiple Porsche IDs supported. One primary and the rest secondary. Each can have personalisation.

Additionally you may have memory buttons (3) on the driver and passenger doors to store seat settings etc. Normally key and associated Porsche ID are enough.

One thing might be worth checking is whether or not the Memory Package comes with powered electronic steering column. It was part of memory package in 2020/2021, the disappeared for 2022/2023/2024 for any trim under GTS. Might be back for 2025 (J1.2), but it's best to check detailed features for your country.

You must have 14 or 18 way seats to get the memory functions and steering wheel adjustment as a rule. It was possible to have the driver memory package only (if non-14 / 18 way seats). I think most cars in US will have the upgraded seats as part of a package whereas its an upgrade in UK for example.

As noted in my OP we will have `Power Seats (14-way) with Memory Package` so we should be good. ("Will have" because our car is still in Stuttgart.)
