I have M1 stored with my normal driving position and M2 stored with a seat position that allows the back seats to be folded forward without bumping into the front seats in their comfort entry/exit position. Im doing a lot at the moment with trips to the rubbish tip ahead of a home move.

Anyway, when I press M1 to get back to normal driving position it doesnt seem to go back fully to the right position, so I press it again and it moves a bit more, and again and it moves a bit more. Stupid question but do you have to hold the button down until the stored position is fully regained or does it store a history of similar positions. I cant work out what the logic is here.

It will only move while pressing it. Keep it held down until it’s fully recalled the position.
Guess it’s a safety thing so it does risk crushing someone sat behind.
Ah OK. Makes sense. I knew I was having a brainfart.
As a hack having a continuous range between relaxed cruise in M1 and a bit higher and more upright city/ manoeuvre M2 mode is quite nice.

Yes you have to hold it for it to keep on moving.

Side note, the memory profile also stores the HUD on/off position, I have 1 and 2 programmed to the same seat position, but 1 with HUD on and 2 with HUD off, so I can just use it to quickly turn HUD on/off. I know I could program the diamond buttons to do that, but I have other quick actions programmed for those.

Why would you turn HUD off? (Interested)
I turn it off whenever driving in a hilly city environment (slow speeds, 10-35mph, up/down steep hills, turning a bunch), HUD tends to be distracting to me - my brain tends to pick it up as something on the road, or the HUD is just blocking road markings. Most of the time I have the HUD on.

Thats a great hack for an extra programmable button. What else can be toggled this way... I guess Im going to have to work through the byzantine key vs button comfort logic.

With door open and you outside the car, a single push of the button is all that is required.
This is part of what had me confused, because when Im wanting to put the driver seat forward for the back seats I of course just reach in to the open door.

does anyone know if both seat memory (1 and 2) positions are are linked to the same key? So can I set two seat positions for me and then if my wife wants to drive my car (God forbid) uses the other key, will she have two completely separate memory settings?
