UK..... Are any non-Tesla DC 50KW+ chargers 400V? ....... Or are all 50kw plus (aside from Tesla) 800V now?

This is not a question of whether to specify the onboard 150kw charger - that's a no-brainer.

It's pure curiosity - I tried to research this, and the searches just gave back lots of irrelevant info.

cheers

My understanding is that anything up to 175-200kw will likely be on 400v especially if more legacy in terms of installation and anything with higher capacity options will be 800v.

Most BP and Shell garages are now installing higher Voltage chargers. Also a lot of the units (non-Tesla) are German/Swiss made (ABB for instance) and most will fit around VW Group which is pushing the 800v architecture. It’s more future proofed as well.

Personally I dont agree that the 150kw 400v setup is a necessary option as I think it will be redundant pretty fast, and in almost 18 months it’s not been a limiting factor for me. Of course everyone has their own opinion on this.
