yes, but I recommend sitting in the car!

SFD2 is also present on my wife's 2024 Audi Q8 eTron (not the Taycan cousin) - not all ECU's are protected, but a lot. Sadly, this means I cannot do much coding using simple tools. Even OBDeleven, which works with SDF, does not support SDF2. I only want a handful of customizations on that car (such as automatic parking brake engagement), so not planning on spending time and money to hack it.SFD2 protocols, it actually started sometime in 2024MY builds, well at least on it's sister platform mate, the e-tron GT.
I prefer to have the laptop(s) and any sniffers on the roof of the car (on some soft padding not to scratch the roof), with only 1 OBD cable going into the car - kind of like a "standing desk" setup. I do that in the garage of course, so no weather issues.yes, but I recommend sitting in the car!![]()
I do run power cables to the laptop(s) on the roof. Still easier for me on the roof than getting in and out of the tight car with equipment connected (actually managed to kick the OBD connector off a couple of times when doing that). I even considered using the wifi feature of the OBD to just sit comfortably in my office while playing with it, but I like seeing what the car does when I’m connected.this would not work, as many of these sessions shown above took several hours, so you need power cables as well as a seat (in my age)
The obvious solution is to bring the Taycan into your living room via the car elevator. Even footballers have figured this out.I even considered using the wifi feature of the OBD to just sit comfortably in my office while playing with it, but I like seeing what the car does when I’m connected.
There's more to that story:The obvious solution is to bring the Taycan into your living room via the car elevator. Even footballers have figured this out.
if @prj is able to read the BMS via UDS over IP the rest would be the same as it's more or less the same $22 readbyid commands.it sniffs the traffic between PIWIS and the car.
